How do I join Complete Concierge Care?
New patients to the practice are asked to set up a complimentary Meet & Greet with their physician to ensure that the practice fits your needs. Please call our office at 202-478-1597 to schedule an appointment. The staff will explain the benefits of the program and answer any questions that you may have before meeting with the doctor. If you and the doctor find that the practice is appropriate, we will provide you with all the necessary documents to enroll.
My current Provider is joining Complete Concierge Care. How do I join?
Current or prior patients of Dr. Brad Moore, Dr. Allison Hockman, or Dr. Ana Paunovic, can skip the Meet & Greet visit with their physician and only need to complete the membership paperwork to enroll. Please go to our website and follow the links under the enrollment section or call us at 202-478-1597. Once the membership agreement and membership fee are received, we will confirm enrollment and you can schedule your first medical appointment.
What are the benefits of membership in this practice?
Our number one priority is to remove the barriers between the patient and their provider. We want our patients to be able to develop a long-term relationship with their physician and our staff. We believe that a strong relationship between physician and patient takes time and is the foundation to good healthcare. We structure our schedule and our practice so that you can have the time you need with your physician to develop the trust necessary for a successful patient-physician relationship.
To accomplish this, our membership includes the following benefits:
- 24/7 Access to your physician via email and cell phone
- Each physician maintains a small number of concierge patients ensuring availability for you
- New patient physicals are 90 minutes
- Our phones connect directly to staff so you can always speak to someone familiar with your care
- Same day or next day appointments always available with your physician
- Vaccines, injections, immunizations, EKGs, all lab work and all viral testing performed in office
- Patient Portal via My Chart so you can view all results and appointments instantly
- Privileges at Sibley Memorial Hospital and Suburban Hospital so your physician can visit you in the hospital
- Commitment to personalized care with an emphasis on wellness and prevention
What is the annual membership fee?
The annual membership fee is $2,500 for each patient. The annual membership fee is competitively set to allow our providers to maintain a small patient panel so we can ensure each patient has the access they need. The membership fee is collected at the beginning of each year for existing members. New patients enrolling in the program will pay a pro-rated membership fee based on their enrollment date. Going forward, the patient will pay the full annual membership fee at the beginning of the new year. The membership fee provides access to our practice, your physician, our staff, our office, and our phlebotomist and is separate from charges for medical services provided. To learn more, please call today.
How does Complete Concierge Care Work with my health insurance?
Complete Concierge Care is a membership program that is designed to work in conjunction with, not replace, your traditional health insurance. For all office visits and services we provide, we will submit a claim to your insurance company on your behalf. If your insurance company applies a portion of the bill to deductible, copay, or coinsurance, we will bill you for that portion. The membership fee does not include the cost of an annual visit or physical. There is no limit to the number of visits per year. All providers within Complete Concierge Care participate with Medicare as an In-Network provider.
Complete Concierge Care is In-Network with the following major commercial insurance plans:
- Medicare Supplemental plans like AARP/UHC
- Medicare Plan B
- CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield – PPO and HMO plans
- Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal Employee Program (FEP) – Basic and PPO plans

- CareFirst Medicare Advantage Plans
- Cigna Medicare Advantage Plans
- United Health Care – all plans – EXCLUDING AARP/UHC Supplemental plan
Medicaid: We do not accept or participate with any Medicaid plans.
Medicare: All our doctors are enrolled as a participating Medicare provider. When you require care, we will file a claim directly to Medicare (and your secondary insurance if applicable). Our office fees are set to match what Medicare allows to ensure coverage is complete as possible. Fees for radiology and lab testing are separate from Complete Concierge Care and are billed to your insurance by the appropriate facilities and lab companies. You will need to continue to use your Medicare health insurance for any visits with medical specialists and for hospital, imaging, and lab services.
Commercial Insurance (Non-Medicare, Non-HMO) Plans
If you are insured by a commercial insurance plan, you must maintain your health insurance. Your insurance plan will be billed at or near the Medicare Allowable rate for the services provided. Our office fees are set to match what Medicare allows to ensure coverage is as complete as possible. If your plan assigns an amount to copay, coinsurance or deductible, then you will receive a bill(s) for those amounts. You will need to continue to use your commercial health insurance for any visits with medical specialists and for hospital, imaging, and lab services.
Can I use my HSA or FSA account to pay the annual membership fee?
Typically, we are not able to use an HSA or FSA card to pay for the annual membership fee. We advise that you should speak with your HSA or FSA plan administrator and inquire if you are able to get coverage for this fee. We can provide a detailed receipt, and you may be able to submit for reimbursement.
What should I expect at my annual physical?
Our doctors devote a great deal of time to getting to know you. Our NEW patient appointments are scheduled for 90 minutes. At your first consultation and subsequent annual check-ups, you will spend extensive time exploring your medical history, family background, and work and life experience, as well as doing your physical exam, and performing whatever blood tests or routine diagnostic tests are needed. Our doctors are readily available to help you with any new issues that arise after your visit or to help with problems that require ongoing attention. The care plan may include:
- Comprehensive labs drawn in our office by our experienced phlebotomist
- Full screenings include family history evaluation and complete past medical history review
- Full Testing Protocols including, EKG, Pulmonary Function Tests, Audiology and more
- Full explanation of any recent test results, discussion of health risk factors for cancer & heart disease, laboratory results review, and overall wellness & prevention planning
- Sign up for patient portal via My Chart, which allows for online review of all lab results, diagnostic results and after visit summary for each appointment
What do I do when I need a specialist?
To ensure continuity of care, we will help coordinate all specialist referrals. We feel communication between primary care physicians and sub-specialists is crucial to your health. While we help you navigate the process, it is usually necessary for you to call the specialist office to schedule an appointment. Our physicians will stay in close contact with your specialist before, during and after any referrals to ensure you are receiving the care you need.

What Is A DO?
DO is an abbreviation for “Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine”, in the past, just called, “Osteopaths”. Osteopathic Medicine is a parallel branch of American medicine that promotes primary care and a holistic, “whole person” approach to patient care. Dr. Andrea Hulse and Dr. Allison Hockman are a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, and we want to clarify what that means for interested patients. Drs. Hulse and Hockman practice evidence based primary care in the same way that the other MD’s at complete concierge care do.
- Both DO’s and MD’s are fully licensed physicians who have the opportunity to specialize, perform surgery and prescribe medication.
- Both DO’s and MD’s complete four years of basic medical education.
- Both DO’s and MD’s proceed to internships (first year out of med school), residencies, and fellowships.
- Both DO’s and MD’s are eligible for Board Certification by all national medical boards.
Senior Living Concierge Care vs. Standard Concierge Membership
This FAQ is designed to help prospective members and their families understand the differences between our new Senior Living Concierge Care program — available exclusively at Brighton Gardens and Fox Hill — and our standard concierge medicine membership at Complete Concierge Care.
Dr. Roy Fried will retire from his medical practice on June 1, 2025. To ensure continuity of care, he is personally recommending and handing off his patients at Brighton Gardens and Fox Hill to Dr. Christopher Duke of Complete Concierge Care. Dr. Duke will continue the same model of in-home, personalized medical care that Dr. Fried’s patients are accustomed to.
What is the Senior Living Concierge Care program?
This program provides on-site, in-home primary care to residents of Brighton Gardens and Fox Hill. Dr. Christopher Duke visits each community weekly and is available for additional visits as needed.
How is this different from the standard concierge membership?
Our standard concierge membership offers excellent access and care, but most visits occur in our office setting. The Senior Living program brings the physician directly to the patient’s residence, minimizing the need to travel.
Who is eligible for the Senior Living Concierge Care program?
Only residents of Brighton Gardens and Fox Hill are eligible for this specific offering.
Who provides the care in the Senior Living program?
Dr. Christopher Duke, a board-certified internist, provides all primary care for this program, including home visits, telemedicine, and care coordination.
What is the cost for this membership?
The membership fee is $3,000 per year, billed annually. Medical services are billed separately and submitted to Medicare and/or your insurance.
Does the Senior Living Concierge Care membership include hospital visits?
Yes. Dr. Duke and his colleagues at Complete Concierge Care visit patients hospitalized at Sibley Hospital and Sibley Renaissance rehab, ensuring continuity of care.
Can I switch from the standard concierge membership to the Senior Living option?
Yes, if you are a resident of Brighton Gardens or Fox Hill. Please contact our office to coordinate a transition.
Do both memberships offer access to the same online health record portal?
Yes. All members receive secure, 24/7 online access to their health records.
Lifestyle Medicine FAQs
Is Lifestyle Medicine a replacement for primary care?
Lifestyle Medicine is not a replacement for primary care, but it is an integral part of high-quality medical care. Lifestyle Medicine focuses on addressing the root causes of many chronic conditions through evidence-based changes in nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, social connection, and avoidance of toxic substances.
For patients enrolled in lifestyle-focused concierge primary care, Lifestyle Medicine principles are integrated directly into their primary care. For patients seeking Lifestyle Medicine consultation only, primary care remains with their existing physician, while Lifestyle Medicine provides specialized guidance and support.
How does Dr. Moore work with primary care physicians and prescribed medications?
Lifestyle Medicine and traditional medical care work best together, not in opposition. Dr. Moore fully supports the appropriate use of medications when clinically indicated.
Lifestyle-focused care aims to:
- Improve the effectiveness of current treatments
- Prevent disease, reduce disease progression and support disease remission when possible
- In some cases, decrease medication burden over time—but only when safe and appropriate
In the consultation-based method, Dr. Moore is not serving as the primary care physician; he works collaboratively with a patient’s existing primary care provider. With patient permission, recommendations can be shared to ensure coordinated, aligned care. Dr. Moore may recommend adjustments to medication when clinically appropriate.
What kind of dietary changes will I need to make?
There is no one-size-fits-all diet. Dietary recommendations are personalized, evidence-based, and aligned with your health goals, medical conditions, preferences, and lifestyle.
In general, Lifestyle Medicine emphasizes:
- Nutrient-dense, plant predominant, whole foods
- Practical changes that are sustainable over time
- There is no food that you will be told you can never eat again but expect to better understand the implications of your choices.
The focus is on progress, not perfection, and building skills and confidence rather than following rigid rules.
What changes might I need to make beyond diet?
Lifestyle Medicine looks at the whole person, not just food. Depending on your goals and needs, care may involve changes in areas such as:
- Physical activity and movement patterns
- Sleep quality and routines
- Stress management and recovery
- Daily habits and routines
- Social connection, support and healthy relationships
- Time management and environment
Not all areas are addressed at once. Changes are prioritized thoughtfully and introduced in a way that fits your real life.
What makes someone a good candidate for Lifestyle Medicine?
Lifestyle Medicine is a good fit for individuals who:
- Want a proactive, prevention-focused approach to health focused on improving health span.
- Are living with or at risk for chronic conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity, or hypertension
- Are willing to explore meaningful lifestyle change with expert guidance
- Value education, partnership, and long-term improvement over quick fixes
It is not a good fit for those seeking medication-only solutions without interest in addressing lifestyle factors.
What is the difference between Lifestyle Medicine, Functional Medicine, and Complementary or Integrative Medicine?
In this practice, Lifestyle Medicine is delivered within the framework of conventional, evidence-based medicine. Medications, standard diagnostics, and preventive care are used appropriately, while lifestyle interventions are emphasized as powerful, foundational tools for improving health outcomes. The focus is on interventions that are safe, effective, and supported by the strongest available scientific evidence. At CCC, Dr. Moore only offers Lifestyle Medicine.
These approaches share an interest in whole-person care, but they differ in their foundations, methods, and use of evidence.
Lifestyle Medicine is a medical specialty grounded in rigorous scientific evidence. It focuses on using lifestyle interventions—nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, social connection, and behavior change—as first-line tools to prevent, treat, and in some cases reverse chronic disease. Recommendations are based on large bodies of peer-reviewed research and established clinical guidelines, and care is delivered by clinicians trained and board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine.
Functional Medicine often emphasizes individualized assessment and root-cause thinking, but its tools and testing may vary widely in scientific validation. Some patients find aspects of functional medicine helpful; however, not all diagnostic tests or treatments commonly used in functional medicine are supported by strong clinical evidence or widely accepted medical guidelines.
Complementary and Integrative Medicine is a broad category that refers to combining conventional medical care with non-traditional approaches. These may include practices that are evidence-supported, emerging, or still under investigation. Integrative medicine varies significantly depending on the practitioner and the modalities used.
What do you mean by “longevity medicine”?
In this practice, longevity medicine is about optimizing healthspan—the years of life spent in good health, with physical function, cognitive clarity, and quality of life. Our primary goal is adding life to years, rather than simply adding years to life as an end goal.
Longevity, as we define it, is not about chasing extreme interventions or unproven therapies. Instead, it is about consistently getting the fundamentals right—because the strongest evidence for improving long-term health and function comes from lifestyle.
What our longevity approach is
- Evidence-based and grounded in Lifestyle Medicine
- Focused on nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, social connection, and behavior change
- Centered on preventing disease, preserving function, and improving quality of life over time
- Practical, sustainable, and personalized to real life
- Integrated into conventional medical care when appropriate
What our longevity approach is not
- Not focused on supplements as a primary strategy
- Not centered on pharmaceuticals for “anti-aging” purposes
- Not based on experimental, unproven, or fringe treatments
- Not about expensive testing without clear clinical value
- Not about pursuing longevity at the expense of overall well-being
While medications and standard medical therapies may play an important role for some patients, they are used thoughtfully and appropriately—not as shortcuts or substitutes for foundational lifestyle change.
In short, our approach to longevity medicine is about doing the simple, evidence-based things exceptionally well, over time, in partnership with patients who are committed to improving their health span.
